To make a Canopy Spritz, first add cubed ice to a large wine glass.
Add sparkling water and prosecco. The glass should be about half full.
Top off your spritz with as much Canopy Vino Amaro as you'd like. Feel free to taste along the way to get a feel for how much you want.
Garnish by tucking a lemon wheel gently between the edge of the glass and the ice.
A spritz is the perfect, low stakes place to play around with flavors and ingredients. It's very, very hard to make a bad one. Add something bubbly and a bitter aperitif like Canopy, then doctor it up with whatever sounds good in the moment. We encourage you to play with proportions, to eyeball your measurements, and just generally have fun with it.
For a lower alcohol spritz, try doubling the sparkling water and skip the prosecco. You can also play with the amount of Canopy Vino Amaro you add. Sometimes we use just an ounce or two for a nice, light flavor bump to water.
We've played with subbing in tonic water, CBD soda, and flavored seltzer (lemon was good). Gin is always good but use a little and work your way up to taste.
If you have the time and the patience, making a simple syrup from fresh strawberries is absolutely incredible in a Canopy Spritz. +1000000 if you can get your hands on some fresh Hood strawberries.
